| Founded
in 1982, Light Machines Corporation pioneered
the use of bench-top CNC machines in the
educational marketplace. The machines were
designed and sold to schools and universities as
training tools.
Light Machines
quickly established itself as a leader in the
manufacture of CNC training tools. In addition
to manufacturing CNC mills and lathes,
Light Machines also developed CAD/CAM software
and training curriculums.
In 1996, Light Machines diversified
its product line, and began developing the
BENCHMAN® series of bench-top CNC machines for
industrial applications.
In November of
2000, Light Machines was acquired by Eshed
Robotec, part of the Robo-Group. Eshed is a
global leader in automation training and
education. |
